This pictures adorns one of the power boxes in the downtown area of Calgary. It is about this young child who grew up to be the 4H ambassador for Calgary.
The City of Calgary Transit department is showcasing artists and I chose to paint Tim Harriman and reveal HIS JOURNEY. I hope this will attract people to the painting and touch people with this young mans story of hope. It is displayed on the power boxes, behind the 3rd street station on 7th ave.
The Journey - The contrast of the yellow to the purple suggests the journey of the past which is behind him and the one to come.
This is a painting that adorns one of the City of Calgary Signal Boxes downdown. It is the story of a young boy just 14 who was given a poor prognosis when diagnosed with leukemia. It has been years of treatment and at 18 is free of cancer. Tim will travel across Canada on bike to raise money and visit oncology units to raise awareness and give hope to other children. Please visit his site Tim Harriman to help or read more about the youth and the tour!!!
